HRFC COACHING TEAM PREPARE FOR A NEW CHALLENGE

HRFC'S COACHING SQUAD REMAINS UNCHANGED FOR THE NEW SEASON AHEAD IN NATIONAL 2 SOUTH

With the 2021-22 Campaign starting this week (Pre-season training, Tuesday 28th June), all eyes will be on DoR Scott Hamilton and his senior coaching squad as they begin to build early momentum before a tough pre-season calendar in August.
Scott Hamilton entering his fourth year as Director of Rugby “everyone involved in senior rugby at the club knows just how important this season will be for us. I’m delighted that our coaching squad, headed up by Chris Campbell, can get back to all things rugby, and we’ll be building a demanding pre-season programme to get the squad where they need to come in September.”
Chris Campbell returns as Head Coach of the Senior setup for his ninth season, “we’ve had no rugby for over twelve months now. However, we regularly had over fifty players attending the sessions whenever the restrictions allowed for training sessions. Everyone has had to adapt, and I’ve been impressed with the resilience of the squad. I am also really pleased that the club has committed to a new U20’s team as building a player pathway for local talent is vital to the clubs continued success at this level. I know Ben Ashfield will build something special with that team.”
Completing the coaching team is Ben Avent (Defense Coach) and Tom Hames (Head of Sports Medicine), both having over five years under the belts with the senior squad and knowing exactly what’s required for the season ahead.

Over the coming weeks, we will be releasing player announcements for both returning and new players to the Hornets Nest.
