This weekend saw the Under 9's take a 13 strong squad to compete in the County Cup finals and "strong" summed up the boys performance. The team continued their undefeated run from the both the county cup qualifiers and the league to win the County Cup against some formidable opposition. . The backs of; Sansome, Inman, Grewcock, Lockett, Hubbard, Colloby, Halka, Burton, Hicks, & Blake showed strong decisive running coupled with great passing and try scoring whilst the forwards of Johnson, Smith & Towers dominated the opposition with crunching tackles, powerful drives and some defence splitting runs from Smith.

The opening match saw the team face a determined and well organised Vipers team however the boys made an excellent start, soon taking the advantage and going on to win 30-5. The semi finals saw a local derby with Market Bosworth, a fantastic match with great play from both teams, the Hinckley boys grit and determination saw them scoring the only try, taking the game 5-0. The Final couldn't have been closer as the Hinckley boys battled the well organised and discipline Oadby Wyggs team. In what turned out to be a nail biting affair Hinckley eventually took the lead through their first and only try. This however resulted in Oadby upping their game and with the game swinging back and forth both teams played some outstanding rugby. In the dying minutes of the game Oadby broke through to take an equaliser try with the game finishing 5-5.

A well done to all the boys for bringing home the Cup, a great end to what has been an outstanding season
