The 2nd XV (Staghounds) play in the Midlands Reserve League, with fixtures across the region most Saturday’s from September to April. The 2nd XV squad is likely to be the strongest it has ever been this season, with over 50 players pushing for 1st XV selection and therefore you will be working with a motivated group of players looking to push on for higher selection.

As all training for the 1st and 2nd XV squads is together, the coach will join a coaching team on training evenings made up of a Director of Rugby, Head Coach, Defence Coach, Forwards Coach and U20’s Coach. There involvement in the sessions will be tailored to the individuals wants, needs and interests and is a great opportunity for a developing coach to be part of a well-established coaching team. Ideally the individual would have a back specialism however we are open to applications from all interested candidates.

The time commitment to the role is negotiable but as a minimum we would want the individual to be available for one training session per week (sessions are on a Tuesday and Thursday) and for Saturday fixtures.

The role is currently being offered on a voluntary basis (with expenses negotiable) with development opportunities available for the right candidate.
